The total investments of SOCAR Turkiye Enerji in the Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim's plants during 2008-2024 amounted to approximately $2 billion, Kanan Mirzoyev, SOCAR Turkiye's refining and petrochemicals business unit, said at a press conference in Istanbul today.
"On average, SOCAR Turkiye Enerji's annual investment volume in Petkim petrochemical complex plants was $113 million. Overall, the company's capital expenditure (CAPEX) for these purposes during 2008-2024 amounted to about $2 billion," said Mirzoyev.
He noted that in addition to these capital investments, planned overhaul expenses were carried out at Petkim in 2018 and 2022.
"These investments played an important role in improving the production sustainability of the complex's plants," Mirzoyev said.
