  Russia says West

Armenia's reaction to statements by Russian journalists about the Zangazur Corridor causes bewilderment, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, AzVision.az reports.

"We have always heard from Yerevan that Armenia is committed to freedom of speech, therefore the reaction in Yerevan causes bewilderment. The official position of Russia is known to Yerevan: Russia consistently speaks about unblocking all transport and economic ties based on trilateral agreements. This position is outlined very clearly," she said.

Zakharova noted that due to the destructive influence of the West, the Armenian side's work within the trilateral group has slowed down.

"We are confident that the earliest resumption of full-fledged interaction within the group will not only contribute to the restoration of the transport and communication system in the South Caucasus region but will also ensure further socio-economic development of the entire region," she said.

The Foreign Ministry representative emphasized that Russia is ready to assist Azerbaijan and Armenia in resolving this issue.
