Davutoglu speaks about protection of borders of Azerbaijan
Turkish Prime Minister spoke at the UN General Assembly.

Prime Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, in his speech at the UN General Assembly session in New York, noted the importance for Turkey to guard the borders of Azerbaijan.

In addition, the prime minister urged the UN Security Council to be more efficient, democratic and representative.

Davutoglu also touched upon the issue of refugees. He said that the cost of Turkey to receive about 2.2 million refugees from Syria and Iraq accounted for nearly $ 8 bn.

"Turkey is a country which has accepted the largest number of refugees, and our doors remain open to them. We have taken more than two million refugees from Syria and about 200,000 in Iraq. Our cost on their acceptance amounted to nearly $ 8 bn, while aid from abroad does not exceed $ 17 mln," he said.
