Unfortunately, there is an increase in number of suicides in Azerbaijan, said the country’s Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov on Oct.1.
He said criminal cases are launched on all cases of suicide, and district prosecuting officers are immediately involved in the scene.
“During the investigation, we seriously examine the causes of suicides. Suicides occur due to several reasons. In many cases, suicides are related with mental illnesses. Investigation revealed that those who committed suicides hadn’t been registered as diseased. In some cases, family problems cause lead to suicides. Our investigations are summarized, and we submit our recommendations to relevant authorities”, the prosecutor general added.
