Algerians hold protest in Paris against France

Algerians held a protest in the French capital Paris against the country's colonial policy.

The protesters called on the French government to recognize the crimes committed in Algeria, AzVision.az informs, citing Report.

The protesters stated that displaying the skulls of Algerian martyrs who sacrificed their lives for independence as exhibits in a Paris museum is inhumanity that defies human dignity.

It was noted that the skulls of beheaded Algerian soldiers should be returned to Algeria.

During the protest, it was highlighted that thousands of people died as a result of France's nuclear tests in Algeria, and the local population was subjected to forced deportation.

The protesters also stated that France plundered Algeria and appropriated both its material and spiritual wealth.

The protest demanded that the French state officially recognize the war crimes it committed.
