CIS names head of its observation mission for parliamentary elections
Leonid Slutsky, a member of the "Liberal Democratic Party of Russia" faction and the chairman of the State Duma for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, will head an observation mission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly which will monitor the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan on Nov.1.
Commenting on the European Parliament’s resolution regarding Azerbaijan, Slutsky said that Europe is not satisfied with Azerbaijani government.

“ODIHR’s decision not to send an observation mission for the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan and the European Parliament`s resolution were premeditated acts. The purpose is to discredit Azerbaijan in European political space on the eve of the parliamentary elections, which will take place on November 1,” he said.
