Russia temporarily halts gas supply to Armenia

Russia has temporarily suspended the supply of natural gas to Armenia due to repair work in Georgia, according to Gazprom Armenia CJSC, AzVision.az reports, citing Interfax.

"On March 18, from 09:00 to 18:00 (GMT+4), emergency repairs will be conducted on the Gazakh-Saguramo section (DN 1000) of the North Caucasus–South Caucasus transit gas pipeline in Georgian territory, leading to a temporary suspension of natural gas supply to Armenia," the company stated.

During this period, gas supply to Armenian consumers will be maintained through internal reserves and additional volumes of natural gas imported from Iran.
