Chairman of the Agency Fuad Naghiyev shared information about the strengthening of cooperation with ECO in the field of tourism in recent years, highlighted ECO events organized in Azerbaijan, and spoke about the upcoming activities related to the election of the city of Shusha as the ECO Tourism Capital for 2026.
During the session, a promotional video showcasing the tourism potential of Shusha (Karabakh region of Azerbaijan) was presented.
As part of the visit, Naghiyev met with Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. Naghiyev invited Ersoy to participate in the 71st session of the UNWTO Regional Commission for Europe, which will be held in Azerbaijan from June 4 to 6.
Additionally, on April 26, delegations from ECO member states took part in the opening ceremony and panel sessions of the Palandöken Economic Forum, held under the theme "A Fair Future in a Smart World: Smart Economies and Global Inequality."
