At the exhibition, speaking about "SOCAR Day", Abdullayev emphasized that, such events are very important in informing the European community about the successes of Azerbaijan achieved in the field of energy. He said that, Italy was the first trade partner of Azerbaijan. “A large number of Italian companies are operating in Azerbaijan and they are an active participant in important projects implemented in the country”, he stressed.
"Azerbaijan`s importance for Italy was proven once again in September 2015, with the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed between SOCAR and Snam Company on evaluation of initiatives for development of South gas corridor, the president added.
