Azerbaijan, Morocco discuss prospects for cooperation

Aynur Sofiyeva, Deputy Chairperson of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, met with visiting delegation of the Thematic Group in Charge of Evaluating Literacy Programs at the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Morocco.

Aynur Sofiyeva, Deputy Chairperson, noted during the meeting that Morocco, which serves as a strategic bridge between Africa and Europe, skillfully leverages this position and actively participates in regional and global cooperation.

She emphasized that the reforms implemented in Morocco, large-scale infrastructure projects, and the successes achieved in the field of alternative energy have made significant contributions to improving social welfare and sustainable development.

The Deputy Chairperson emphasized that relations between the two countries are built on the principles of friendship and mutual understanding, and that these ties have deepened in recent years.

She noted that cooperation has entered a new stage with the visit of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva to Rabat and the visit of Princess Lalla Hasnaa to Baku.

The parties explored joint initiatives within the international cooperation on the protection of children`s rights, combating illiteracy and other social issues and reviewed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries on children`s affairs.
