Russian embassy in Ankara confirms summoning of ambassador
In a conversation with RIA Novosti, Igor Mityakov, the press attache of the Russian embassy in Ankara, has confirmed the fact of the repeated summoning of Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov to the country
Earlier, a source in the Turkish foreign ministry stated about the repeated summoning of the Russian ambassador to the foreign ministry.

"The ambassador was indeed summoned to the Turkish foreign ministry Oct. 5,” Mityakov said. “Turkish colleagues’ information is currently being checked."

NATO states that Russia`s Su-30 and Su-24 aircraft violated the airspace of Turkey October 3 and 4, despite a warning from the Turkish authorities.

The Russian defense ministry said Oct. 5 that Russian Su-30 aircraft was flying in the Turkish airspace for a few seconds Oct. 3.

The defense ministry said that the incident was the result of unfavorable weather conditions. The Russian side has not officially confirmed any incidents October 4.
