 Azerbaijan, US mull leveraging EXIM Bank instruments to expand trade ties

Azerbaijan and the US have exchanged views on leveraging EXIM Bank instruments to expand trade relations, Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister, wrote on X, AzVision.az reports. 

“Within the framework of the working visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to the United States, together with the President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf, we met with a delegation led by Dan Negrea, Senior Advisor to the President and Chair of the Export–Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank).

We emphasized Azerbaijan’s progress in sustainable development and economic diversification, noting new prospects for developing high-value-added sectors and for strengthening partnerships with international counterparts.

We also exchanged views on leveraging EXIM Bank instruments to expand Azerbaijan-U.S. trade and investments and discussed next steps to deepen cooperation,” reads the post.
