“Our good relations with Russia are obvious. But they would lose us. If Russia loses Turkey, it would lose a lot. Turkey would not remain patient in the face of violations of its air space by Russian warplanes,” Erdoğan added, urging the international community to move for the establishment of security zones in northern Syria to counter the refugee crisis.
Erdoğan stressed that it is wrong to take a positive approach toward the PKK’s Syrian branch PYD as it is fighting against ISIL. “Al-Nusra” is also fighting against ISIL. Does it mean that Al Nusra is good? But some declares PYD and PKK good as they are fighting against ISIL,” the president said.
