Armenian Parliament Voted 103 to 10 for Constitutional Referendum
The National Assembly has voted 103 to 10 for the referendum to the draft constitutional amendments based on suggestions acceptable for the head of state. 3 MPs abstained.
Speaker Galust Sahakyan did not let the members of parliament make speeches. After the voting the opposition members of parliament started shouting, and Galust Sahakyan told them to leave the hall.

10 members of parliament voted against the draft amendments. ANC MPs Stepan Demirchyan, Gagik Jhangiryan, Aram Manukyan, Levon Zurabyan, Hrant Bagratyan, Nikol Pashinyan voted against the amendments. AND member of parliament Lyudmila Sargsyan voted for the amendments.

Of the Heritage parliamentary group only Zaruhee Postanjyan voted against. Rubik Hakobyan, Tevan Poghosyan and Alexander Arzumanyan voted for the amendments.

The head of Rule of Law parliamentary group Heghineh Bisharyan, Ishkhan Khachatryan of the Rule of Law, Tigran Urikhanyan of PAP voted against the bill.

Three members of parliament - Hovhannes Margaryan, Levon Dokholyan and Mher Shahgeldyan of the Rule of Law party – abstained.
