According to a source in the Helsinki Police Department, the identity of the deceased MP is known, but the name will only be disclosed once contact has been made with relatives, AzVision.az reports, citing Finnish media.
“On Tuesday, a person died in the parliament building. The call to the police came through the Emergency Response Center at 11:06,” the source said.
Police are investigating the death. Law enforcement officials note that no signs of violent death were found.
Several police patrols and medical teams are working at the scene.
