Azerbaijani powerhouse FC Qarabag have qualified for the UEFA Champions League league phase for the second time in their history, despite a 3-2 home defeat to Ferencváros of Hungary, AzVision.az reports.
The Aghdam Horses went into the playoff second leg with a commanding 3-1 lead from the first match. In front of a home crowd at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku, they secured their place on aggregate.
Leandro Andrade and Abdellah Zoubir both found the net for Qarabag, while Ferencváros' goals came from Lenny Joseph, Barnabás Varga (penalty), and Alex Tóth.
