CIS Youth Camp wraps up in Azerbaijan

The closing ceremony of the “Youth Camp of CIS Countries” was held in the city of Lachin, AzVision.az reports.

Masim Mammadov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, speaking at the event, said that the project had contributed to promoting Lachin, which this year holds the title of “Cultural Capital of the CIS,” at the international level.

The Special Representative noted that, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, extensive infrastructure projects are in progress in the Lachin district, just like in other territories liberated from occupation. He emphasized that favorable conditions have also been created in Lachin city for the development of young people’s talents and abilities and for the effective organization of their leisure time. The establishment of a film studio, creativity center, galleries, and other facilities in the city plays an important role in revitalizing the cultural environment.

Participants watched videos dedicated to Lachin’s status as the CIS cultural capital and to the youth camp. The ceremony concluded with certificate presentations to local and international participants and volunteers, followed by a cultural program.

The camp brought together youth from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. As part of Lachin City Day on August 26, the “International Youth Film Festival of CIS Countries” was also held.
