Floods, rains kill 31 in Pakistan in two days

Rain-related incidents across Pakistan claimed 31 lives and injured 26 others from Sunday to Monday, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Monday, AzVision.az reports, citing Xinhua.

The eastern Punjab province recorded the highest number of fatalities, with 25 people losing their lives, including eight children and two women, AzVision.az reports, citing Xinhua .

Four deaths were reported from the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while one child died in southwest Balochistan. One casualty was also recorded in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

Further rainfall is expected in the coming days, which could increase the risk of flooding and landslides.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation as weather conditions remain unstable in parts of the country.
