Azerbaijan is taking active steps towards technological advancement, said ADA University Rector Hafiz Pashayev as he addressed the opening ceremony of the 49th Annual World Finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest in Baku.
Hafiz Pashayev said he believes that investing in education and supporting business initiatives is one of the most effective ways to ensure the sustainable development and prosperity of the country.
According to Pashayev, the development of an innovative IT ecosystem will further enhance the country’s position and role in the global business environment. He noted that the competition's participants are required to have high knowledge in the fields of mathematics, engineering, and logic, along with the teamwork, creative thinking, and the ability to quickly develop innovative solutions.
"We are confident that this event will become a turning point in the development of the IT sector in Azerbaijan, helping the country become the focus of international arena," Hafiz Pashayev added.
