In a statement, the Defense Ministry said it carried out a massive strike on Ukraine's military-industrial complex in Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr regions, as well as in Vinnytsia and Lviv cities.
"Targets within Poland’s territory were not planned to be attacked. The maximum flight range of Russian UAVs used in this attack, allegedly crossing into Polish territory, does not exceed 700 km. Nevertheless, we are ready to conduct consultations on this issue with the Ministry of Defense of Poland," it said.
The ministry claimed it hit Ukrainian defense industry facilities that were involved in the production and repair of armored and aviation equipment, manufacturing engines and electronic components for them, as well as producing unmanned aerial vehicles.
On the southern and southwestern outskirts of Lviv, workshops of the Lviv Armored Vehicle Plant where repairs and modernization of armored vehicles took place have been hit, along with the Lvov Aviation Factory LDARZ, which produced long-range drones and repaired combat aircraft of the Ukrainian armed forces, it said.
"The objectives of the strike have been achieved. All designated targets have been struck," the ministry added.
The Polish prime minister claimed on Wednesday his country’s airspace was violated by what he called “Russian drones” overnight, adding that forces downed several of them.
