Azerbaijani taekwondo athlete Vasif Salimov advanced to the finals of the 3rd CIS Games, held at the “Kur” Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir.
Salimov secured his place in the final by defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Ramazan Jikanbayev in the men’s 68kg semifinal.
In the women’s 57kg category, Nigar Abdullayeva was defeated by Uzbekistan’s Aminakhon Kamalova and claimed the bronze medal.
