She noted that today, medical institutions perform modern ophthalmological procedures and surgeries, including cataract operations using the PHACO method, DSR (tear duct obstruction) surgeries, Avastin injections, and other advanced ophthalmological interventions:
‘Our goal is to further improve the level of services in medical institutions, expand the variety of ophthalmological services in the regions, perform vitreoretinal surgeries, establish a center for refractive surgery, and equip medical institutions with modern equipment.’ Mustafayeva concluded.
