He explained that the “Azerbaijan’s Victory” satellite will be able to receive information from IoT sensors located at various points around the world, creating significant opportunities both for gathering real scientific data and for educational applications.
Badirkhanov noted that new projects on satellite technologies, space communications, and the use of satellite imagery will continue at the Space Academy. He recalled that schoolchildren have previously had the opportunity to establish direct communication with the International Space Station and speak with astronauts on several occasions. Additionally, the scientific competition on “Remote Observation of Earth” is in its final stage.
Providing an update on Azerbaijan’s second satellite program, Badirkhanov emphasized that the project is progressing according to schedule. "Our specialists are directly involved in the preparation of the 'Azersky-2A' satellite, and the knowledge they acquire will contribute to the future assembly of a new satellite domestically. The public will be regularly informed about the next stages of the project."
He added that the local production of satellite components in Azerbaijan is also continuing as planned, with new results in this area expected to be announced in the near future.
