Mammadyarov stressed the importance of establishing the strategic partnership relations between the country and the organization.
He also briefed Lefort on his meetings with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the Armenian Foreign Minister in Paris (azernews.az).
During the Baku visit, Lefort will also meet with National Security Minister Eldar Mahmudov.
Philippe Lefort was appointed EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia on 1 September 2011.
Leforts mission as an EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus expires this month.
