  5.9-magnitude earthquake hits northwestern Pakistan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 50 km NNW of Barishal, Pakistan at 0621 GMT on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, AzVision.az reports, citing Xinhua.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 36.72 degrees north latitude and 74.44 degrees east longitude.
