The Minister underlined that, beyond its role as a reliable partner in ensuring Israel's energy security, Azerbaijan also acts as a significant investor in Israel's energy sector.
“The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), in partnership with bp and NewMed, has obtained gas exploration licenses in Israel's exclusive economic zone and is acting as the operator during the exploration phase. Furthermore, the acquisition of a 10 percent stake in the Tamar gas field reflects the strengthening of this partnership. At the same time, an Israeli company continues to implement projects in Azerbaijan’s pharmaceutical sector,” the Minister added.
