Iranian Army Begins Rapid Response Military Drills
The Iranian Army started rapid response military drills in the western part of the country, local media reported Monday.
According to the national IRNA news agency, the two-day drills are jointly organized by the country’s Ground Force, Air Force, and Khatm-ul-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters.

On Sunday, Iranian Army Executive Deputy Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammad Mahmoudi said that "defensive, radar, and missile systems, Air Force bases, commandos, Army Air Force, and UAV units will take part" in the rapid response exercises.

He added that the drills will be carried out in "the real operational theater" and will involve bomber, offensive, tanker, and transport planes as well as advanced radar, missile and artillery systems.
