A delegation of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has visited the Azerbaijan State Committee for Work with Diaspora to meet its chairman Nazim Ibrahimov.

Ibrahimov said the two fraternal countries had always supported each other and would continue to share the same position regarding ongoing global processes.

The Turkish delegation member, MP from Justice and Development Party (AKP), Seyit Sertcelik, said the visit`s goal was to combine efforts in the fight against anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Turkish campaigns worldwide.

Mustafa Balkuv, chairman of a special commission of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, said the Chamber, with 350,000 members, was the largest in Turkey and the world`s fifth largest NGO.

The delegation`s head Ozturk Oran, who is also a board member at the Chamber, said it was necessary to strengthen cooperation not only between the diasporas of the two states, but also between government organizations and NGOs in order to fight against the anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Turkish campaigns in the world, as well as to bring the truth about Azerbaijan to the world and achieve recognition of the Khojaly genocide.
