Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was received by his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani as he arrived at Saadabad Palace in Tehran on April 9 for an official visit. The two presidents were escorted by the honor guard.
The two presidents stood side-by-side as the national anthems of Iran and Azerbaijan were played and photographs were taken. The Azerbaijani president was invited by the chief of the guard to review the honor guard. The palace was decorated with the flags of both countries.
