Kaladze challenges SOCAR`s capability
"We have imported additional commercial gas from Russia."
According to Energy Minister of Georgia Kakha Kaladze, the company "SOCAR" has no problem with supplying the population with natural gas, but it has no potential to deliver additional sales volume.

Kaladze told reporters that talks with "Gazprom" are held by the above mentioned reason.

"The "SOCAR" has no problems with the supply of natural gas and to ensure the full population. Regarding additional commercial volumes, we have been importing additional commercial gas from Russia over past years, because "SOCAR" does not have such a capability," Kaladze said.

Regarding the next meeting with the leadership of "Gazprom", held in Milan, according to the minister, an agreement on the details yet to be reached.

"Another working meeting was held in Italy. An agreement has not been reached yet. Negotiations are underway. This is about an increase in transit. Therefore, we want to get more revenue, and allow commercial entities to import additional natural gas through Georgia," the Minister of Energy of the country said.
