Togrul Asgarov - the best athlete of Europe!

ANOC annually determines the best athletes of the world.

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler, Olympic champion Togrul Asgarov was awarded the title of "Best Athlete of Europe" at the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), held these days in Washington, AzVision.Az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

This year Togrul Asgarov became the champion of First European Games in Baku, which, apparently, influenced the choice of ANOC, that annually determines the best athletes of the world.

Minister Azad Rahimov, vice president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade and head of the international relations NOC Konul Nurullayeva represent Azerbaijan in the work of the General Assembly.
