A humanitarian action has been held at the boarding school of Anjuman Suleymaniya in the Pakistani city of Lahor of the Penjab province with the support of the first lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva.

Speaking on this occasion, Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov said that actions in the sphere of public health, education and humanitarian sphere are held in all provinces of Pakistan with the support of the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

He said that the Foundation always shows attention and care especially about the orphans.

Then on behalf of the Foundation, the ambassador handed presents to the children and extended financial aid of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the reconstruction carried in the school.

Vice president of the school Rauf Halid Mustafa thanked the first lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva for humanitarian actions held in Pakistan. Mustafa pointed that this attention and care for orphan show the humanism of Mehriban Aliyeva, her commitment to Islamic values and love for the brotherly Pakistani people.

Executive director Shahida Riaz informed the participants of the event about the activity of the school and said that over 100 pupils study at the boarding school.

Reconstruction work is currently underway, new residential and educational buildings are under construction in the territory of the school. Financial aid rendered by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will be used for this very work.

Then children demonstrated plays and sang songs.

Following the official part, the event participants familiarized with the residential and educational buildings of the boarding school, with the reconstruction work conducted here.

In conclusion of the event, ambassador Shikarov gave an interview to journalists in which he spoke about the friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, successful foreign and domestic policy held by our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and the activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
