Kerry expresses condolences to Lavrov over Russian plane crash in Egypt
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry expressed his condolences to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov over the Russian passenger plane crash in Egypt in a phone conversation held at the U.S. initiative, Russia`s Foreign Ministry said.
"Also, (the sides) briefly exchanged views on results of the Vienna multilateral talks on the Syrian settlement held on Friday," the ministry said.

On Saturday morning, Kogalymavia airline’s Flight 9268 carrying Russian tourists home aboard an Airbus A321 - en route from the resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to the Russian second largest city of St. Petersburg - crashed just 30 minutes after taking off. The plane debris were spotted in the north of the Sinai Peninsula, some 100 kilometres of the city of Arish, There were 217 passengers, including 17 children, and seven crew on board. Latest reports said that there were 214 Russian nationals, three Ukrainians and one Belarusian citizen. According to Egypt’s officials, no-one survived.

Sunday is announced a day of mourning in Russia.
