Iran follows clear, transparent policy in nuclear issue, Larijani
Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said Iran has always followed a clear and transparent policy in its nuclear issue, adding that Iran has never wanted nuclear weapons, but is to use peaceful nuclear energy, APA reports quoting IRNA.
According to the report of Majlis website, Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Romanian head of parliamentary friendship group with Iran Sorein Stephan Roushka Stansco here on Tuesday.

Referring to old friendly ties between the two nations, Larijani underlined important role of parliamentary relations in development of all-out ties between Iran and Romania and said that dialogue between parliaments of the two countries can help identify existing capacities and remove problems and obstacles in the way of expansion of mutual cooperation.

He called old and historical ties between the two nations as an important capacity for expansion of mutual relations and expressed hope that parliamentary friendship groups can promote bilateral ties.

Larijani also said that the European Union independent role in the regional issues would be beneficial for the EU.

The Romanian MP, for his part, called Iran as an important country in the region and stressed that Bucharest is ready for development of all-out relations with Tehran.

He said that parliamentary relations are very effective in grasping realities of the both sides and expressed confidence that visit of Romanian parliamentary delegation to Iran could help develop bilateral ties.
