French oil company office closes in Azerbaijan

French oil company office closes in Azerbaijan

The office of the French company Geoservices S.A., a subdivision of the largest oilfield services company Schlumberger has been closed in Azerbaijan, the `Vergiler` newspaper of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan said Nov.11.

Lender companies should submit their claims in two months’ time to the following address: Salyan highway, 10, Sabail district, Baku, Azerbaijan.

The headquarters of Geoservices S.A. is located in Roissy-en-France (a commune in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, France). The company provides such services as analysis of samples of mud or mud logging.

Geoservices S.A. was acquired by Schlumberger in 2010 for $1.07 billion. The Schlumberger company continues its activities in Azerbaijan.
