He said over a third of the Syrian population became refugees during the conflict in this country and about six million citizens are forced to constantly change their residence places, not to be caught in the midst of fighting.
The Syrian conflict, which broke out in March 2011, killed over 150,000 people, more than 4.2 million people have become refugees in the Syrian territory, and 2.3 million people have fled to neighboring countries.
The main burden in receiving the refugees fell on Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey. Syria`s total population before the conflict was 20 million people.
The number of Syrian refugees in Turkey exceeds 700,000 people, according to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
