The conference titled “Mobilizing Islamic Finance for Long-term Investment Financing” conference is being held in collaboration with World Bank, Capital Markets Board of Turkey and Borsa Istanbul.
The conference is aimed at discussing ways to boost the contribution of Islamic finance to long-term sustainable growth. It brings together participants from political and academic circles; Islamic regulatory and supervisory bodies in the financial sector; representatives of international funds, institutional investors, multilateral development agencies and industry sector.
The event also hosts participants from G20 to assess contributions of Islamic finance to long-term sustainable growth targets.
Head of Capital Markets Board of Turkey, Vahdettin Ertas, head of Borsa Istanbul Tuncay Dinc and World Bank Global Centre for Islamic Finance President Zamir Iqbal are expected to address the conference during the two-day event that will last until Thursday.
The keynote speakers of the event also include World Bank Country Director Johannes C.M. Zutt and Turkish Treasury Foreign Economic Relations General Manager Hakan Tokac.
