Iran to block Instagram
An Iranian court has ordered banning access to Instagram, a popular photo sharing network in the country.
The court made the decision after complaints from some citizens, Iran`s Mehr news agency reported on May 23 citing judiciary source.

The citizens submitted complaints to the court saying the network`s "violating their privacy," according to the source.
The court has submitted the ban order to the Iran`s Information and Communications Technology Ministry for implementation.
Several of world`s most popular networks, such as Twitter and Facebook are banned in Iran, while users are still able to access them via proxies. A proxy allows bypassing `gates` meant to block certain sites.

Iran`s president Hassan Rouhani recently vetoed a decision made by the Committee for Determining Criminal Web Content, headed by the prosecutor general of Iran to block WhatsApp, a popular mobile application.

It was reported on April 30 that Iran had banned access to WhatsApp messenger application in the country
