Turkish PM observes military exercises
Turkey`s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has today observed the military exercises codenamed Efes-2014, according to TRT Haber TV channel.
The military exercises kicked off today.

Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz and Chief of the General Staff Necdet Ozel also observed the exercises.

Some 50 aircraft, 40 helicopters, 40 ships, 70 boats, 60 tanks, 100 artillery pieces, 1100 wheeled and crawler vehicles are involved in the exercises.

The Efes-2014 military exercises will end on June 5.

This is the second military exercise held by Turkey this month. On May 21, Turkish navy ships launched military exercises dubbed the White Hurricane-2014 in the Aegean Sea.

These exercise included 53 ships, four patrol aircraft, 13 helicopters of naval aviation, 17 patrol boats of the coast guard.

The White Hurricane-2014 exercises will end on June 1.
