Turkish authorities summon Russian ambassador on crashed warplane
One of pilots parachuting out of Russian SU-24 reportedly died. Another pilot parachuting out of the jet before it crashed was captured by Turkmen forces.
20-25 minutes after the warplane was downed, Turkmen positions were subjected to intense shelling.
Two Turkish citizens were wounded after the explosion of the downed Russian warplane. They are residents of Dutlubahce village of Yayladagi, in Hatay province on the Syrian border.
NATO convened an emergency meeting after the incident.
