Azerbaijani side undergoes heavy fire from Armenia on contact line
The ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line was broken 27 times in numerous directions on June 12, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on June 13.

The armed forces of Armenia, located in the village of Berkaber of Armenia`s Ijevan region, opened fire at the positions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces located in the village of Gizilhajili of Gazakh region.

At the same time, the Azerbaijani positions took fire from the positions located in the villages of Horadiz, Garakhanbeyli, Gorgan, Ashagi Seyidahmadli, Ashagi Abdurrahmanli, Ashagi Veyselli of Fizuli, Mehdili of Jabrayil region and at the nameless heights of Khojavend region.

The opposing side was silenced with return fire.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
