Royal prince of Norway Haakon Magnus has spoken about the close ties and similarities between Azerbaijan and Norway in his interview with The Business Year magazine.
According to 1news.az, Magnus said that Norway is pleased with the close cooperation between Azerbaijan and Norway in energy sector, particularly, with the close relations between Statoil and SOCAR.
"The role of the Caspian region on the global energy market is growing. Azerbaijan has recommended itself as a reliable and important partner-producer of oil and gas. Our two countries share the intention to become the reliable suppliers of energy sources to Europe", he said.
"Azerbaijan`s attention on environment and establishment of the National Oil Fund is very encouraging. Norway also hopes for continuation of a dialogue between the countries on other mutually profitable issues, such as regional stability, security, human rights and democracy", the royal prince of Norway said.
