The discussions were held in Tehran during the visit of SOCAR’s president Rovnag Abdullayev to this country.

During the visit to Iran Nov.28, Abdullayev held meetings with this country’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and head of NIOC Rokneddin Javadi.

“The sides discussed the possibilities of cooperation in various areas, in particular, swap operations on oil and gas, trading operations, as well as the projects in the sphere of petrochemistry,” said the message.

Earlier, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said that Iran shows interest in Azerbaijan’s offer to use its infrastructure for transporting energy resources to world markets.
