According to the press office of the Foundation, the event, which runs until July 31, began with a concert program "Azerbaijani jazz."
President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event.
The concert program presents classical and modern jazz improvisation, including the synthesis of jazz and mugham.
The guests of the evening were presented books reflecting the history and traditions of classical and modern musical art of Azerbaijan prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The residents and guests of Cannes can learn more about the history, music, literature, classical and modern art in our country during the Days.
The activities related to the upcoming presentation in Baku of the first European games 2015 will also be organized during the Days of Azerbaijan in Cannes.
The marathon will be organized on the Boulevard de la Croisette in connection with the presentation of the Games outside the country and the winners will receive presents from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The event will be concluded with a grand firework.
