Russia starts supplying S-300 systems to Iran
The S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems are being supplied to Iran, Vladimir Kozhin, the Russian presidential aide on military-technical cooperation told TASS Dec. 3.
"The contract is valid and the systems are being supplied," he said.

Russia has started the procedure of delivering the S-300 missile system to Iran, Mehdi Sanaei, the Islamic Republic ambassador to Moscow said in late November.

Russia and Iran concluded a contract in 2007 for the supply of S-300 systems, but after the adoption of the UN Security Council Resolution 1929, which provided for the imposition of sanctions on Iran, the realization of the contract was suspended by then president Dmitry Medvedev.
