Turkey to respond to Russia
Turkey is preparing retaliatory measures against Russia
Relations between Russia and Turkey have deteriorated after Turkish Air Force jets shot down the Russian SU-24 bomber when it entered Turkish airspace Nov. 24.

Earlier, Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek said that the country can loose at least $9 billion due to Russia’s economic sanctions.

Moreover, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier called on Russia to settle the crisis in bilateral relations through a political dialogue, but not by imposing sanctions.

Davutoglu noted that Turkey hasn’t closed diplomatic channels for resolving the crisis in relations with Moscow.

He pointed out that the anti-Turkish statements made by Russian authorities are similar to the spirit of the former USSR.
