Three Azerbaijani boxers earn Olympic berths

Three Azerbaijani boxers earn Olympic berths

Azerbaijani boxers Elvin Mamishzade (52kg), Albert Selimov (60kg) and Perviz Bagirov (69kg) have qualified for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

The first 60 boxers heading to Rio have been confirmed for the men`s competition, including 34 Olympic debutants.

AIBA Pro Boxing tournaments have produced 20 qualifiers, Season V of the World Series of Boxing gleaned 17 Olympians and 23 athletes have secured quota places thanks to their performances at the 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Doha.
