The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka warned U.S. citizens Tuesday of potential attacks in Bangladesh`s capital city in the coming days, potentially on New Year`s Eve.
The attacks could target hotels and clubs, the embassy said in a statement. Dhaka police are heightening security measures on Thursday by increasing checkpoints in various locations and banning outdoor parties after 8 p.m.
