Wanted Armenian wounded and detained in Los Angeles - VIDEO
The Los Angeles (LA) police have detained wanted Artem Gasparyan.
During the detention the 37-year-old suspect was wounded and taken to the local Ambulance department.

The incident took place on the 5 Freeway in Sun Valley. According to the police representatives, the movement was blocked for several hours due to the operation aimed at Gasparyan’s detention.

The witnesses said one of the undercover officers tracked Gasparyan to a car repair shop, where he was trying to fix his car. Realizing he was watched, Gasparyan tried to abscond, crossing into the oncoming lane of the freeway. During the persecution, the Special Forces had to use arms as a result of which the runaway was wounded.

The detainee is suspected in a series of grave crimes involving firearms, LA Times reports. Specifically, the law enforcement authorities accuse him of involvement in a crime, which took place in Panorama City last December, as well as of a bloody shooting in Burbank in the same month. Moreover, the detainee is accused of the killing of a 37-year-old man, who was found unconscious near Van Nuys Boulevard. The victim died in a hospital, where she was taken after the incident.
