Putin refuses to participate in Munich conference
Russian President Vladimir Putin does not plan to attend the annual Munich Security Conference which takes place in the Bavarian capital in mid-February, said spokesman for the Russian head of state Dmitry Peskov, AzVision.az reports citing Russian media.
In total the conference should be attended by 20 heads of states and governments as well as 60 heads of the Foreign Ministry or the Ministry of Defence. Earlier Monday reported for the first time in four years at the Munich conference not arrive Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Head forum Wolfgang Ischinger said that invitations had been sent to the president of Iran Hassan Rouhani and Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko but they have left them unanswered.
Munich Security Conference has been held annually since 1962.
